A resident of Novosibirsk has listed a 100-ruble banknote commemorating the 2018 FIFA World Cup for 1.5 million rubles on Avito. The seller claims the “Series AB” banknote has not been in circulation.

The banknote features an image of legendary goalkeeper Lev Yashin making a save. A young football fan wearing a jersey with the number “1” is also depicted on the front of the note.

The reverse side of the banknote displays the cities that hosted World Cup matches. A soccer ball stylized as a globe, with Russia highlighted in green, is the central image on the back.

Similar banknotes are available on specialized websites for a much lower price. They typically range from 700 to 1,600 rubles.

The advertisement, posted on May 27, has received 112 views as of this writing. Previously, a coin from 1724 depicting Peter I was listed for sale in Novosibirsk for 300,000 rubles.
