Police in Novosibirsk have released a video of the suspects involved in the murder of a security guard at a local factory. The incident occurred after the suspects allegedly attempted to steal construction tools and equipment worth one million rubles.
According to police reports, one of the suspects has confessed to stabbing the security guard with a knife during the attempted robbery. The confessed suspect stated that he acted alone and disposed of the knife and his clothing after the crime.
However, the second suspect claims he was unaware of the murder. He alleges that he was called to the factory by the other suspect, who he believed worked there as a security guard. The second suspect claims he only learned about the murder after the fact and was not present when it occurred. He maintains that he was arriving in a taxi at the time of the incident.
Both suspects, aged 34 and 45, have prior criminal convictions. Preliminary investigations suggest that one of the suspects, who previously worked at the factory as a welder, planned the theft of construction tools. He then enlisted the help of the second suspect.
The suspects reportedly believed that the security guard would be intoxicated and would not notice the theft. However, the guard saw the suspects, leading to the fatal stabbing. The security guard died at the scene.
