The celebration, themed “My Novosibirsk is Changing,” will feature a mix of cultural, economic, and entertainment activities. The program kicks off on Saturday, June 28th, with a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to Nikolai Tikhomirov, one of the city’s founders, at the Zaeltsovskoye Cemetery. A formal meeting and celebratory concert commemorating the city’s 132nd anniversary are scheduled at the Mayakovsky Concert Complex, featuring Belarusian singer Anna Trubetskaya. A large-scale Youth Day celebration will also take place in Arena Park on the same day.

Sunday, June 29th, will be packed with activities, starting with a workout session with champions at 10:00 am on the Mikhailovskaya embankment. An open street basketball tournament, obstacle course races, and other sporting events will also be held. At 11:00 am, the “People of Action” exhibition, showcasing the achievements of the Novosibirsk economy, will open on Pimenov Square, with local businesses presenting their products. An exhibition of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the police, including vintage vehicles, will also be on display, along with developments by Novosibirsk enterprises for the Special Military Operation (SVO).

The official City Day opening ceremony is scheduled for 12:00 pm on the main stage of the Mikhailovskaya embankment, featuring a performance by Anna Trubetskaya. A concert program will follow, lasting from 12:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with performances of original songs about Novosibirsk, participants from the “City Sings” and “City Dances” projects, and headliner Tosya Chaikina.

Other highlights on Sunday include a parade of urban transport and specialized equipment along Krasny Prospekt at 1:00 pm. At 2:00 pm, a historical KTM-1 tram car model will be presented as a gift to the city in “Thirteenth Tram” Square, behind the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (NOVAT).
