Novosibirsk Announces a Variety of Festivals and Events in June

A diverse range of festivals and events are scheduled to take place in Novosibirsk throughout June, offering something for everyone from art enthusiasts to music lovers and craft aficionados. These events include both free and ticketed options, catering to a wide range of interests and budgets.

The Festival of Contemporary Urban Art will kick off the month on June 8 in Central Park. Visitors can expect interactive exhibitions, art installations, performances, quests, photo opportunities, games, and show grounds. Admission to this event is free.

Beer enthusiasts can look forward to several festivals. Sibcraftfest, celebrating its tenth anniversary, will be held in Akademgorodok on June 12 and 13. While there is a fee for beer tasting, a free zone will feature musical performances by various bands and a food court. Following this, the Home beer fest, a festival of home brewers, will take place in “Typography” on June 14.

Music lovers have several options to choose from. The Chernika Music Fest will be held in Arena park on June 14 and 15, featuring two stages, interactive activities, contests, and performances by a variety of artists across genres. The Eduard Artemyev International Festival “Siberiada” will present a series of concerts on three Sundays, beginning June 15, at the Katz Philharmonic Concert Hall. The “Station Siberia” festival of author’s song will take place from June 19 to 22, with performances at the Katz Concert Hall and in the park “U morya Obskogo”.

For those who enjoy arts and crafts, the “Craft Novosibirsk” street art festival will be held near the Globus Theater on June 20, showcasing artisans and designers from across Siberia.

Finally, the “Cinema on the Grass” festival will begin its summer run in Narymsky Square on June 14, offering free open-air movie screenings, along with master classes, a lecture hall, a handmade goods market, family activities, musical performances, and a food court. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets.
