A newborn baby girl was discovered in a package in the village of Dubrovka, Vsevolozhsk district, Leningrad Oblast, on June 5th.

Local residents found the infant under the windows of a house on Tomilina Street.

Police and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the newborn was subsequently hospitalized.

Authorities have initiated a search for the child’s mother to determine her identity.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently in progress.

Initial reports suggest the package containing the baby may have been thrown from a vehicle.
