A new bird enclosure has opened at the Shilo Novosibirsk Zoo, offering visitors a chance to see a variety of colorful bird species. The aviary is situated in the “Little Crumb” complex, conveniently located near the amusement park.

The enclosure features a diverse collection of birds, including multicolored lorikeets, rose-breasted and ring-necked parrots, cockatiels, and California quails.

The zoo has announced specific opening hours for the aviary: weekdays from 12:00 to 20:00 with breaks from 14:00 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 18:00, and weekends from 11:00 to 21:00, with the same break times.

The opening of the new aviary has been met with enthusiasm from Novosibirsk residents.

In related news, the Novosibirsk Zoo transitioned to summer operating hours on June 2, and it is now open from 8:00 to 22:00 daily, with extended hours until 23:00 on holidays.

The zoo has plans for further expansion, including the construction of new complexes and a pavilion for pygmy hippos. The “Asia” complex is slated for completion in 2025.
