The “ParkNet-M” system has identified nearly 1,500 instances of illegal lawn parking in Novosibirsk since the beginning of the year. The city administration reports a significant disparity in detected violations between districts utilizing the automated system and those without it.
The Leninsky district leads with 595 recorded violations, followed by the Kirovsky district with 467, and the Central district with 163. In contrast, the Kalinin and Soviet districts, which do not yet have “ParkNet-M,” reported only 36 violations during the same period.
While fines have been issued, the actual revenue collected remains relatively low. The Kirovsky district contributed 209,000 rubles to the city budget, followed by the Dzerzhinsky district (136,000 rubles), the Central district (128,000 rubles), and the Oktyabrsky district (132,000 rubles). Despite leading in the number of violations, the Leninsky district has only recovered 18,000 rubles in fines.
The city administration explained that the fine collection process is lengthy but ongoing. The “ParkNet” system is designed to monitor paid parking areas and identify violations of parking regulations, as well as other administrative offenses related to stationary vehicles.
The administrations of the Kalinin and Soviet districts are planning to acquire the “ParkNet-M” complexes for their respective territories.
