The Governor of Murmansk Oblast, Andrey Chibis, has refuted reports of explosions in Severomorsk, labeling them as false information. He announced his travel to Olenegorsk, emphasizing the stability of the situation in the city and the absence of immediate threats.
Earlier, Chibis had reported a drone attack on the Murmansk region but withheld specifics regarding the number of drones involved or potential damage incurred. These events coincide with a separate drone attack on a military unit in the Irkutsk region, marking the first instance of drone strikes in Siberia, according to regional head Igor Kobzev.
Despite the reported drone activity, the governor insists that the situation in Severomorsk remains under control and that claims of explosions are unfounded. The simultaneous incidents in multiple regions suggest a potential escalation in drone-related activity across Russia.
