A 22-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident in the Lomonosovsky district of the Leningrad region near St. Petersburg. The incident occurred on the Antashi – Ropsha – Krasnoye Selo highway.

The accident took place at approximately 10:30 PM on June 5th. The motorcyclist was traveling on the 8th kilometer of the highway.

According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, the driver lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle on a left-hand bend. This resulted in the vehicle veering off the road.

The motorcycle then crashed into a ditch on the right side of the road. The impact caused significant injuries to the driver.

The injured motorcyclist was promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause of the loss of control.
