“Mostotrest” has calculated that the damage from graffiti with a post-war Soviet slogan painted on the Arsenalnaya Embankment amounts to almost 23,000 rubles. The graffiti, featuring the slogan “Peace – to the world,” appeared opposite house number 11 on the embankment.

The cleaning of the graffiti, which covered a total of 15 square meters of granite, was carried out by “Mostotrest’s” emergency and duty management team. A criminal case of vandalism has been opened in connection with this and similar incidents.

Authorities reported that similar graffiti appeared in eight other locations on embankments and bridges throughout St. Petersburg.
