Moscow will implement several transport changes on June 6 in observance of Eid al-Adha, including adjustments to metro station access, road closures, and bus route modifications. These measures aim to accommodate the celebrations taking place across the city.
Prospekt Mira metro station will experience restricted access. Until 5:45 AM, entry to the station will only be permitted through entrance number 2. After 5:45 AM, both entrances to the Circle and Orange lines will be closed. Passengers are advised to use alternative routes, such as buses m2 and m9 towards the city center and Sukharevskaya metro station. Rizhskaya station, accessible via buses m2, m9, and 903, provides connections to the Big Circle Line, Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro lines, and MCD-2 commuter trains.
Road closures will be in effect near major mosques. Durova Street will be closed from 11 PM on June 5 to 11 AM on June 6. From 12:01 AM to 11 AM on June 6, closures will affect Shchepkina, Meshchanskaya, Gilyarovskogo, and Bolshaya Tatarskaya streets. Prospekt Mira will experience traffic restrictions from 6 AM to 11 AM. Additional closures from 12:01 AM to 11 AM will occur near the Historical Mosque, impacting Kapelsky, Vypolzov, Stary Tolmachevsky, Klimentovsky, Ozerkovsky, and Maly Tatarsky lanes. The area around the Memorial Mosque on Minskaya will see closures from 12:01 AM to 12 PM on June 6, affecting Minskaya Street (towards the center), exits from General Dorokhov Avenue, and parking lot exits at the intersection of Minskaya and General Dorokhov. In Otradnoye, sections of Khachaturian and Kargopolskaya streets will be closed from 4 AM to 11 AM, with another section closed from 5 AM from house 12k2 to Otradnaya Street.
Several bus routes will be altered. Tram services between Kalanchevskaya Street and Belorussky Train Station will be suspended. Route 9 will be out of service from 10 PM on June 5, while routes 7 and 50 will be shortened to Kalanchevskaya Street. Passengers can use metro services and buses m5, s510, m53, and 604 as alternatives. Bus stops at “Olimpiysky” and metro “Prospekt Mira” will be temporarily closed. In the southwest of Moscow, buses will not serve the Minskaya metro station towards Kutuzovsky Prospekt from 11:50 PM on June 5. Bus 299 will be rerouted via General Dorokhov Avenue, TTK, and Kutuzovsky Prospekt when heading towards Filevsky Park. Routes 464 and 103 will travel through Kievsky Train Station towards Slavyansky Bulvar, while routes 470 and 170 will be rerouted via General Dorokhov, Aminevskoe Highway, and Kutuzovsky Prospekt towards Filey. Route 260 will follow the same rerouting towards Matveevsky. Express bus e29 will be shortened to the “Lomonosovsky Prospekt” metro station. In Otradnoye, routes m54, 628, s6, 598, 803, and n9 will be affected from 3:45 AM on June 6.
Two additional venues have been allocated for the Eid al-Adha celebration.
