Central Moscow embankments will be closed to traffic this Saturday, June 21, due to the “Two Rivers” water sports festival. The Department of Transportation has announced the restrictions, which will be in effect from 04:00 to 23:59.

The festival will feature a variety of events held at multiple locations on Bolotny Island. These venues include the Moskva River near “Krasny Oktyabr” and “Museon,” the “GES-2” House of Culture, the Vodootvodny Canal, and the Yauza embankment.

Attendees can enjoy an academic rowing race, water bike stunt performances, and a carnival SUP swim. The main stage on Yakimanskaya Embankment will host performances by Vanya Dmitrienko, Akmal, and Alsou. A Niletto concert will also take place near the Moskva River.

Motorists will be affected by road closures on June 21 from 04:00 to 23:59. Driving will be prohibited along Bolotnaya Embankment from Bersenevskaya Embankment to Bersenevsky Lane, and along Bersenevskaya Embankment from Bersenevsky Lane to Bolotnaya Embankment. Parking will also be restricted in these areas.

The weather forecast for the weekend indicates temperatures will reach only +14 degrees on Saturday.
