Moscow will host the Moscow Jazz Festival from June 9 to 15, featuring over 150 free concerts at various city venues. The event is considered one of the world’s largest of its kind.
The festival will showcase a combination of emerging bands and established jazz musicians. The opening will take place on June 9 at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall with a performance by the Igor Butman Moscow Jazz Orchestra and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. The closing ceremony on June 15 will feature American jazz star Veronica Swift.
From June 10 to 14, free performances will be held in Zaryadye Park, Museon Park, VDNKh, and the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. Concerts will run from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekends.
The lineup includes Alexey Kuznetsov’s Jazz Guitar Band, Kvartal group, The Oleg and Natalya Butman Quartet, Amber Sept, The Artsakh Jazz Orchestra, and Yuri Terletsky and Yur’ski Band. The program will also feature 103 youth jazz groups from different regions of Russia.
From June 2 to 15, concerts will be held in Moscow jazz clubs, including the Igor Butman Jazz Club and The Hat Moscow, with some performances being free. The Hermitage Garden will host main concerts featuring Igor Butman, Larisa Dolina, Valery Syutkin, Rachel Z & Omar Hakim Trio (USA) and others.
The festival will also host Jazz Across Borders (JAB), an international forum for jazz industry representatives, on June 13–14. The event will bring together musicians, producers, and experts from around the world.
