Moscow Streets to Close for Eid al-Adha Celebrations

Several streets in Moscow will be closed on June 5 and 6 due to celebrations for Eid al-Adha. The closures will affect areas in the center, west, and northeast of the city.

The restrictions are related to mass events, according to the Moscow Mayor’s Office.

In the city center, roads near the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, close to the Prospekt Mira metro station, will be affected. Durov Street, from Prospekt Mira to Olimpiysky Prospekt, will be closed from 11 PM on June 5 to 11 AM on June 6. On June 6, traffic will also be restricted on Gilyarovsky Street, Meshchanskaya Street, Schepkina Street, and Bolshaya Tatarskaya Street. Additionally, Stary Tolmachevsky Lane, Klimentovsky Lane, and Ozerkovsky Lane will be inaccessible to vehicles. A parking ban will be in effect in these areas starting at midnight on June 5.

In the west of Moscow, Minskaya Street, from Mosfilmovskaya Street to the Park Pobedy stop, will be closed from 12:01 AM to 12 PM on June 6. Exits from General Dorokhov Avenue to Minskaya Street and intercept parking lot No. 9181 will also be temporarily closed.

In the northeast of Moscow, Khachaturyan Street, from Altufyevskoe Highway to house 12, building 2, and Kargopolskaya Street from Khachaturyan Street will have traffic restrictions from 4 AM to 11 AM on June 6. Additionally, traffic from Khachaturyan Street to Otradnaya Street will be blocked from 5 AM to 8 AM.
