Moscow Road Closures Announced for Eid al-Adha Celebrations

Several streets in Moscow will be closed from June 5th to June 6th due to the celebration of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram). The closures will affect multiple districts and will also result in changes to bus routes in Otradnoye.

Preparations are already underway in the city center. KAMAZ trucks have been deployed to Gilyarovsky Street to deliver and install fences.

Near the “Prospekt Mira” metro station, specifically at the first entrance, a metal structure has been erected to display information regarding entry restrictions. Metal fences are also being stored at this location. Sections of Prospekt Mira are already lined with these fences. The Cathedral Mosque is situated in close proximity to both the metro station and the Olympic sports complex.

On Friday, June 6th, the “Prospekt Mira” stations on the Circle and Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya lines will operate exclusively for exiting passengers and transfers from 5:45 AM until the conclusion of the holiday events.

This year, a designated site for Eid al-Adha has been established near an Orthodox monastery in Serpukhov, Moscow region.
