Moscow Residents Face Internet Outage Due to ASVT Provider Failure

Muscovites are experiencing a third day without internet service due to a major failure affecting the ASVT provider. Residents in various residential complexes, including “Danish Quarter,” “Western Kuntsevo,” and “Novovatutinsky,” have reported the ongoing disruption. The company attributes the outage to a DDoS attack and is working to restore service.

The outage has significantly impacted residents, particularly those who work remotely and rely on internet connectivity for essential services. Some residents report that even store terminals are affected. ASVT has acknowledged the issue and stated that specialists are collaborating with experts from various organizations to resolve it.

Residents express frustration with the lack of communication from ASVT and the absence of a clear timeline for service restoration. Many are forced to use mobile data, incurring additional expenses. The situation is further complicated by the limited availability of alternative internet providers in some areas.

ASVT has stated that the DDoS attack is one of the largest this year among providers in the Central Federal District. The company has requested patience and apologized for the inconvenience. ASVT, which serves many houses built by the FGC group of companies, had a revenue of 338.6 million rubles in 2024 with a net profit of 24.1 million rubles.

The ownership structure of ASVT is not fully transparent. While the company last disclosed a list of affiliated persons in 2017, it revealed that Irina Fedulova, the current director, held approximately 60% of the shares, and Evgeny Parkhaev owned another 10%. Approximately 20% of the shares were held by ZAO “Russian Network of Business Services,” whose majority owner in 2016 was Anastasia Ositis, the mother of Irina Fedulova.
