Eleven drones were shot down over five districts of the Moscow region on the night of July 18, according to Governor Andrei Vorobyov. The affected districts include Domodedovo, Krasnogorsk, Solnechnogorsk, Sergiev Posad, and Mozhaisk.
The governor reported that drone fragments damaged buildings in two separate locations. In the “Ryazantsy” cottage village, the facades and windows of two houses were damaged. In the village of Maryino, Solnechnogorsk, a fence, part of a wall, and windows of one house were destroyed.
Vorobyov emphasized that most of the drones were destroyed before reaching their targets, preventing more serious damage.
“The most important thing is that none of the residents were injured,” Vorobyov stated.
Specialists are currently at the scenes assessing the damage, and the governor has pledged assistance to the residents of the damaged houses.
