Moscow police are investigating the kidnapping of Areg Shchepikhin, a 39-year-old businessman, which occurred at the Yaroslavsky railway station. The incident took place on the evening of June 3, when several men allegedly abducted Shchepikhin, who had recently posted videos insulting Chechens.

The black Mercedes GLS 500, believed to be involved in the kidnapping, has been returned to the parking lot near the station. A Rosgvardia KAMAZ truck and vehicles from the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are present at the scene.

Law enforcement officers are conducting investigative activities, including fingerprinting the Mercedes and removing bags from the vehicle. Six men resembling the alleged kidnappers were initially detained and taken to a police station for questioning.

Witnesses report that the men shouted “Akhmat is power!” when questioned about the kidnapping. The Mercedes, escorted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has since left the square.

Shchepikhin was reportedly taken from a “Burger King” located in the same building as the suburban ticket offices. His mother confirmed that the person in the kidnapping video was her son and expressed shock upon learning about the incident through social networks.
