Moscow residents and visitors have numerous options for open-air swimming this summer, ranging from free city pools to private beach clubs. The “Summer in Moscow” project offers many free locations, while private clubs provide more luxurious amenities at a higher cost.
The “Summer in Moscow” project features free open-air swimming pools across the city. These pools are located in various districts, including the Central, Southern, Southwestern, Southeastern, Western, Northwestern, Northern, Eastern, and Northeastern Administrative Districts, as well as Zelenograd. Specific locations include parks like Krasnaya Presnya, Yuri Luzhkov Park, Kuzminki Park, and Sokolniki Park.
Tickets for the “Summer in Moscow” pools can be booked on the MosBilet website. Prices vary based on the time of day and day of the week. The cheapest tickets start at 400 rubles on weekdays and 750 rubles on weekends for the 9:00 AM session. Other sessions cost 800 and 1500 rubles, respectively. Prices are higher at pools in Mitino, Sokolniki, and Krasnaya Presnya, where weekend morning sessions cost 1000 rubles and other sessions cost 2000 rubles.
The cost includes access to a sun lounger, umbrella, changing room, showers, and storage room, subject to availability. Upgraded double sun loungers are available for 5000 rubles at Mitino Landscape Park, the 50th Anniversary of October Park, Khodynskoe Pole, and Krasnaya Presnya, accommodating two people. Booking a session on weekdays in the morning is a cost-effective strategy.
Private open-air swimming pools offer additional amenities at a premium. Dream Beach Club features five swimming pools, including a wave pool and slides, with prices starting from 3,000 rubles. Shore House has two pools, a beach area, and a food court, with prices starting from 3,000 rubles. City Beach Club offers sun lounger, bed, and cabana rentals, with prices starting from 4,000 rubles. The Bassein in Sokolniki Park includes pools for children and adults, sun loungers, bungalows, a food court, bars, and recreational areas, with prices starting from 1,500 rubles.
