Moscow Actor Maxim Glotov Dies at 60

Actor Maxim Glotov passed away in Moscow at the age of 60. The cause of death has not yet been determined, though a colleague mentioned he may have had kidney problems.

Colleagues became concerned when Glotov had not been in contact for three days. Actress Evgenia Bordzilovskaya, who had recently worked with him at a film festival, confirmed the news.

After being unable to reach him, friends went to his apartment on Thursday evening, July 31, but received no answer.

The next morning, after hearing his phone ringing inside, they called the police. The apartment was a communal living space, and a neighbor’s funeral service was coincidentally present, allowing access to the apartment.

Glotov’s parents and brother reside in Odessa, and he had been divorced for a long time. Colleagues are attempting to reach his son through social media to inform him of his father’s death and offer assistance with funeral arrangements.

Bordzilovskaya remembered Glotov as a close and helpful person. She noted that he never mentioned any health issues, despite a mutual acquaintance revealing he had kidney problems.

Born on January 29, 1965, in Odessa, Maxim Glotov graduated from the Saratov State Conservatory. He was a theater actor who gained recognition for his roles in various films and television series, including “Keepers,” “Ranevskaya,” “Soul Eaters,” “Optimists,” “Fortza,” and “Sklifosovsky.”

Details regarding the funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
