The Mariinsky Theater has received three premises, totaling 531.4 square meters, in a building located on the Kryukov Canal embankment. The transfer was made by Rosimushchestvo (Federal Agency for State Property Management).
The building in question is number 12, known to house the Lendok film studio. The transfer includes the film studio’s concert hall and two adjacent premises.
The Mariinsky Theater, under the direction of Valery Gergiev, plans to use the new spaces for concerts and other events included in its repertoire.
The St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio (Open Studio “Lendok”) was founded in 1932 and has been located in the building on the Kryukov Canal Embankment since 1946. The building has operated as a multifunctional cultural center since 2013 and has a total area of 5.7 thousand square meters.
