A man has been sentenced to five years in a strict regime penal colony for the murder of his wife in St. Petersburg. Ilkhomdzhon Abdullaev, 34, was found guilty of pushing his wife out of a sixth-floor window during an argument on June 17, 2024.
The incident occurred in a rented apartment on Podvodnika Kuzmina Street, located in the Kirovsky district. The city prosecutor’s office reported that Abdullaev pushed his wife out of the window during a dispute.
The woman was immediately rushed to the hospital in a coma. Despite the efforts of medical professionals who worked for seven and a half hours to save her life, she succumbed to her injuries and died.
The investigation revealed that jealousy was the motive behind the crime. During the court proceedings, Abdullaev initially provided inconsistent statements, but ultimately confessed to his guilt in his closing arguments. The court’s decision reflects the severity of the crime and the tragic loss of life.
