A man in the Novosibirsk region suffered burns while grilling kebabs at Lake Staritsa on June 4th. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Novosibirsk region, the incident occurred when the man, a resident of Novosibirsk, was lighting a grill using flammable liquid.
The man sustained burns to his head, torso, and right arm due to careless handling of fire. He sought medical attention at a burn center.
Doctors provided assistance and prescribed treatment for the burns. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a reminder to the public regarding fire safety.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns against using gasoline, kerosene, or alcohol to ignite grills. They also advise against pouring liquid onto burning or smoldering coals. If the liquid has not been absorbed into the coals, it should not be ignited.
