A man has been detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of gathering information for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). The suspect, born in 1993, is a local resident with a prior conviction.
The individual allegedly collected data on military and industrial sites within St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, including factories, airfields, and research and production enterprises. He is accused of transmitting this information to representatives of the terrorist organization “Atesh.”
“Atesh” members are reportedly involved in various acts of sabotage within Russia. A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation pertaining to “Participation in the activities of a terrorist organization.”
The arrest and allegations were also reported by military correspondent Alexander Kots, who shared a video of the detainment.
