A collision between a locomotive and a truck occurred on Tuesday, June 17, near the Novosibirsk-Zapadny railway station in the Novosibirsk region. The incident took place at approximately 09:00 in the vicinity of Marusino village, when the truck drove onto the tracks as a locomotive was passing through the crossing.

The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine if traffic safety and railway transport operation laws were followed.

Fortunately, the collision did not result in any derailment of the train, and train traffic was not disrupted. Authorities are working to clarify all details of the event.

The West Siberian Railway has been contacted for further comment.
