The Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region has released a list of officially designated safe swimming locations for the public. These locations have been inspected and meet safety standards.

The designated safe locations include:

• Sanatorium “Granatovaya Bukhta” (Sysertsky MO)
• Recreation center “Prometey” (Sysertsky MO)
• Beach “Linevka” (Gorno-Uralsky MO)
• Beach at the tourist base “Arakaevo” (Nizhne-Serginsky district)
• Recreation center “Camping” (MO Pervouralsk)
• Bilimbaevsky Pond beach (MO Pervouralsk)

Alexey Morozov, the chief inspector for small vessels of the Sverdlovsk region, cautions residents against swimming in undesignated or unofficial areas due to the absence of lifeguard services and the lack of bottom inspections, which significantly increases the risk of accidents.

Alcohol consumption is identified as a major contributing factor in water-related incidents. Since the beginning of the year, the region has already recorded 15 fatalities on the water, including 4 children. Authorities emphasize that child drownings are frequently linked to parental negligence and lack of supervision.
