Lilia Nekrasova, the former head of the Suzunsky District administration, has been sentenced to 4.5 years in a general regime penal colony for fraud and abuse of power. Her husband, Dmitry Nekrasov, received a 2.5-year sentence in a general regime penal colony for his involvement in the fraud scheme.
The Department of the Judicial Department in the Novosibirsk Region announced the verdict, stating that Lilia Nekrasova was found guilty of fraud committed using her official position and abuse of power by a person holding a state position. Dmitry Nekrasov was found guilty of fraud.
In addition to the prison sentence, Lilia Nekrasova is prohibited from holding positions in government bodies, local self-government, and municipal institutions for two years. The time spent in custody and under house arrest will be credited against both sentences.
Civil lawsuits filed by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and Energy of the Novosibirsk Region and the prosecutor of the Suzunsky District against Lilia Nekrasova were fully satisfied. The court ordered the recovery of 7,482,747 rubles and 90 kopecks from the former head of the district in favor of the budget of the Novosibirsk Region. Additionally, 393,828 rubles and 84 kopecks were recovered in favor of the budget of the Suzunsky District of the Novosibirsk Region.
The convicts were taken into custody in the courtroom following the verdict. The verdict has not yet entered into force. Lilia Nekrasova was initially detained in October 2022 on suspicion of fraud, along with her husband, following accusations that she illegally employed her husband in the municipal authorities.
