The “Liga” company, owned by businessman Andrei Fomenko, has successfully acquired the “Talion” hotel located on Moika Embankment, 59, in St. Petersburg, for 4.41 billion rubles. The auction was part of the bankruptcy proceedings of Talion companies and Eliseev Palace Hotel, linked to entrepreneur Alexander Ebralidze.
The sale was conducted through a public offering, starting at 9 billion rubles and eventually reaching a minimum price of 4.05 billion rubles. Offers were considered for nearly three months before the final decision.
The acquired lot includes premises totaling 9824 square meters and two shares of the land beneath the hotel, amounting to 6372 square meters out of a total of 6856 square meters. The property is currently pledged to Bank “Saint Petersburg”.
Andrei Fomenko is known as a co-owner of the Senator business center chain. Alexander Ebralidze was convicted in late 2023 for the theft of over 371 million rubles but was immediately released due to time served in pre-trial detention. It is noted that Ebralidze had been attempting to sell the Talion Hotel since 2011.
