Leonid Agutin to Perform at Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg

Leonid Agutin, the celebrated singer and composer, is set to perform a large stadium concert at Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg on June 28. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Agutin, who began his musical journey in the mid-1990s, has built his career on blending Latin, funk, and soul music with Russian lyrics.

His debut album, “Barefoot Boy” (1994), featured hits like “Hop Hey Lala-Ley” and “Black-skinned Guy,” showcasing this unique fusion. A year later, his second album, “Decameron,” included songs such as “Island” and “On the Lilac Moon,” solidifying his creative direction.

His music gained recognition as intellectual pop. Agutin’s albums often experimented with combining the Russian language and Latin American rhythms.

He is also known for ballads like “I will always be with you”, “Everything is in your hands”, “February”, which were successful due to the combination of Agutin’s voice and that of his wife, Angelica Varum.

Agutin’s recent releases include a cover of Mikael Tariverdiev’s “Song about the Distant Homeland” from “17 Moments of Spring,” and the album “N.V.L,” which evokes nostalgia and features bossa nova rhythms, reminding listeners of hope, faith, and love.
