The Leningrad Region has extended its maternity capital program until 2030 and increased payment amounts for families. Governor Alexander Drozdenko announced the program’s extension and enhancements on June 4.

Starting January 1, 2025, the payment for the first child will increase from 140,000 to 175,000 rubles, and for the second child, it will rise from 70,000 to 125,000 rubles. The value of the electronic certificate, which can be used for children’s goods, has also been increased to 50,000 rubles.

Eligibility for the program has been adjusted to include mothers up to 30 years old when their first child is born and up to 35 years old when their second child is born.
