Leningrad Region Approves List of Safe Bathing Places for Summer 2024

Authorities in the Leningrad Region have designated 18 public beaches and 9 special zones at children’s camps as safe for swimming, according to the GIMS (State Inspectorate for Small Vessels) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Leningrad Region. These locations have been inspected and approved for public use throughout the summer season.

Several beaches have already opened to the public. The beach of the Zeleny Bor sanatorium opened on May 20, and several public beaches opened on June 1, including “Ustye” beach, “Lipovo” beach, Dacha-Ozero beach, “Igora” resort, “Krasnoye Ozero” ski resort beach, “Ozerko” city beach, and “Everest” beach. Additionally, the beach of the Michurinskoye sports base opened on June 5, and Skalisty (Kamenisty) Island opened on June 10. “Zolotaya Dolina” beach opened June 15 and LLC “Melnichny Ruchey – Resort” opened June 13.

More beaches are scheduled to open soon. The Kuznechnoye GP village beach on Ratnoye Lake is set to open on June 23, followed by the Beach of MO Osipovets village on June 28. Several beaches are slated to open on July 1, including the Zolotoy Plodovoye village beach, the village beach of Plodovsky SP, and the village beach of Gromovsky SP. The “Koshkino” village beach is scheduled to open on July 4.

Nine beaches at children’s health camps have also been approved for swimming. These include Svinyechnoye Lake DOL “Zvezdny,” DOL “Vostok” beach, “Zerkalny” camp beach, DOL “Sputnik” beach, Beach of GBU DO DOOTs “Rosson,” DOOZTs “Raduga” beach, Beach of LLC “Kirishinefteorgsintez,” Beach of MOU “Children’s Health and Education Center “Ogonyok,” and DOL “Mayak” beach.
