A large two-day motorcycle festival called “Movement” has begun today in Yekaterinburg and Verkhnyaya Pyshma, featuring a range of free entertainment for families. The festival includes a motorcycle show, a food festival, and lectures in the city center.
The grand opening in Verkhnyaya Pyshma started at 10:00 AM, followed by a procession of hundreds of bikers heading to Yekaterinburg around 12:45 PM.
Headlining musical performances will be given by Nike Borzov on June 7 at 9:00 PM and Diana Arbenina with “Night Snipers” on June 8 at 9:00 PM.
Several road closures are in effect due to the festival. Gorky Street (from Pushkin to Malyshev) is closed from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM on June 7, and Voevodina Street (from Malyshev Street) is closed from 6:00 AM on June 7 to 11:00 PM on June 8. The large parking lot on 1905 Square will also be closed from 6:00 AM on June 7 to 10:00 PM on June 8.
Parking on Gorky Street in the center of Yekaterinburg will be free for June 7 and 8.
A motorcycle parade from Verkhnyaya Pyshma to the city center will cause rolling traffic blockages along the route, starting around 12:45 PM. The route includes: Kosmonavtov Avenue (from the ring road to Chelyuskintsev), Chelyuskintsev Street (from Kosmonavtov to Sverdlov), Sverdlov Street (from Chelyuskintsev to Karl Liebknecht), Karl Liebknecht Street (from Sverdlov to Lenin Avenue), and Lenin Avenue (from Sverdlov to 8 Marta). Traffic will reopen on these roads immediately after the parade passes.
