Yekaterinburg is hosting the large-scale “Movement” motorcycle festival, featuring daring stunts performed by bikers in the city center. The event, which has led to temporary changes in traffic and commerce, will also include free performances by popular musicians.
Thirteen bus routes have been altered until June 9th due to the festival. The affected routes include buses No. 46, 50, 51, 52, 54, 054, 57, 60, 62, 67, 81, 89, and 93. The “1905 Square” stops on 8 Marta Street have been temporarily removed from these routes.
In addition to traffic changes, a ban on alcohol sales is in effect in the city center for two days during the festival.
To compensate for the disruptions, parking on Gorky Street in the city center will be free for two days, June 7 and 8. Mayor Alexei Orlov signed the decree to this effect.
The festival also features a free concert in the evening with performances by Nike Borzov, Diana Arbenina, “Zatochka,” and “Komnata Kultury.”
