Lane Closure and Reversible Traffic Implemented for Dimitrovsky Bridge Repairs in Novosibirsk

A lane on the Dimitrovsky Bridge in Novosibirsk has been closed for repairs, with reversible traffic implemented to manage the flow. The work is scheduled to continue until June 1, 2027.

The far right lane heading towards the left bank was initially closed on the morning of June 9 to begin the repairs. “Avtodorremont Tekno,” the new contractor selected by the mayor’s office following a failed repair attempt, has already dismantled the old pavement on the sidewalk and established reversible traffic.

Reversible traffic patterns are in effect to accommodate the ongoing construction. From 11 PM to 3 PM, the central lane is open for traffic heading towards the right bank. Conversely, from 3:01 PM to 10:59 PM, the central lane is designated for vehicles traveling towards the left bank.

To further enhance driver awareness, a traffic light is being installed on the bridge. The contractor has also installed signs and applied new markings to guide drivers through the altered traffic patterns.

At least 30 workers and specialized equipment units are expected to be involved in the bridge repair project, according to the mayor’s office. The initial phase of the project involved dismantling asphalt from the sidewalk, which was completed in mid-May after the lane closure allowed for its removal. Asphalt replacement began on May 30 to ensure continuous passage across the bridge during the repair work.

Avtodorremont Tekno LLC, founded in 2006 with Ilya Nikitin as its founder and director, reported a revenue of 1.2 billion rubles and a net profit of 172.8 million rubles in 2024.
