A 12-year-old child was injured at Tolmachevo Airport when a lamp fell on them. The incident took place on the first floor of Sector C during the night of July 30-31.

The airport administration has stated they will provide the child and their family with the necessary support. Following the incident, first aid was administered immediately at the scene. The child was then transported to a medical facility for a thorough examination.

Tolmachevo Airport’s technical services are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident. The aim of the investigation is to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

Sector C, where the incident occurred, is a relatively new addition to the airport, having opened in 2023. The construction of the sector took approximately 2.5 years and cost around 20 billion rubles.
