The Lamoda Sport store located in the “Greenwich” shopping center in Yekaterinburg has officially closed its doors, leaving only two remaining outlet locations in the city. The store, which sold authentic apparel and footwear from brands like Adidas, Nike, Puma, and Reebok that had previously exited the Russian market, ceased operations at the “Greenwich” location recently.
Shoppers first noticed the closure when the store remained shuttered for several days, with all merchandise removed. The “Greenwich” branch has since been removed from Lamoda’s official list of operating stores in Yekaterinburg and is no longer listed in the 2GIS directory.
Currently, Lamoda Sport operates two outlet stores in Yekaterinburg: one in the “Omega” shopping center in Uralmash and another in the Brands’ Stories outlet center in Solnechny. These outlets primarily offer items from past seasons’ collections.
The Lamoda Sport store in “Greenwich” had opened in early 2024, taking the place of a previously closed Nike store. The company had announced its plans to enter the Yekaterinburg market approximately one month before the opening.
E1.RU reached out to Lamoda’s press service for an official explanation regarding the closure but has yet to receive a response.
In related news, the French sports retail chain “Decathlon” closed its stores in Yekaterinburg in 2022. Subsequently, “Sportmaster PRO” opened a store in the “Raduga Park” shopping center, occupying one of the former Decathlon locations.
