Kronstadt has updated its street lighting with the installation of 240 new energy-efficient LED lights on Citadel Road, sections of Citadel Highway, and Gidrostroiteley Street. The city organization “Lensvet” announced on its official website on June 17th that it will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the new lighting system.

The new lights are mounted on metal poles and will automatically turn on and off according to a schedule. This initiative is part of a larger program to modernize lighting infrastructure throughout Kronstadt.

In May 2024, work began on refurbishing streetlights on Martynova Street. These improvements support the development of the island area of the city, which is emerging as a cultural and public hub.
