Kremlin Comments on Alleged Attack on Crimean Bridge

The Kremlin has confirmed an incident involving an explosion near the Crimean Bridge, stating that the structure remains undamaged and fully operational. President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov addressed reporters on June 4th, acknowledging the event that occurred the previous day.

According to Peskov, the Kyiv regime is continuing its attempts to target civilian infrastructure. He added that the Russian side is taking necessary measures in response to these actions, which he described as being consistent with the nature of the Kyiv regime.

The Crimean operational headquarters reported that the incident took place around 6 a.m. on June 3rd. The target of the alleged sabotage attempt was the protective “washer” designed to shield the bridge from various threats, including ice, ramming, and attacks.

The bridge was temporarily closed to allow for an inspection of the support structures. Following the assessment, authorities determined that the bridge’s integrity was intact and reopened it to traffic.
