Vladislav Loginov, the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk, was detained on the morning of June 9th, and searches are being conducted at the city administration. Law enforcement sources and individuals within the administration have confirmed this information.
The detention is reportedly linked to allegations of accepting a bribe of a particularly large amount. Authorities are currently determining the appropriate measure of restraint for Loginov.
There is a possibility that Loginov may be transported from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow.
Rumors regarding potential legal issues for Loginov had circulated since the spring of the previous year. Krasnoyarsk political scientist Alexander Chernyavsky noted that although there were reports of testimony against him at that time, no action had been taken until now.
Just the day before, on June 8th, Loginov made a public appearance during City Day celebrations, where he presented a bouquet to Pelageya, the headlining performer.
