Vladislav Loginov, the mayor of Krasnoyarsk, has been charged with accepting a bribe on a particularly large scale. The criminal case against him was initiated under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Loginov is accused of receiving over 180 million rubles in bribes between 2018 and 2024. According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, the bribes were received both as money and as payment for the construction of a bathhouse on his land. At the time of the alleged offenses, Loginov was first the first deputy and then the mayor.
The bribe was allegedly intended to secure the commercial organization’s victory in tenders for road repairs in Krasnoyarsk.
Searches were conducted in Loginov’s office, his residence, and the Krasnoyarsk Municipal Institution “Department of Roads, Infrastructure and Landscaping.” During these searches, investigators discovered and seized documents related to municipal contracts, as well as other items and documents relevant to the investigation. Svetlana Petrenko, a representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, confirmed these details.
Loginov was detained on the morning of June 9 and has been charged. The court will announce the measure of restraint later.
Political scientist Alexander Chernyavsky commented on Loginov’s detention, calling it a “headache for the governor.”
