Konstantin Shelestun, a theater and film actor known for his work at the Small Drama Theater (NDT) and roles in television series such as “Bandit Petersburg,” has died on June 4th. He was a respected figure in the St. Petersburg arts scene.
Shelestun dedicated many years to the NDT, where he delivered memorable performances in various productions. His cause of death has not been disclosed, and details regarding the memorial service will be announced later.
A graduate of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts, Shelestun joined the NDT shortly after being invited by director Lev Erenburg. His theatrical debut was as Bubnov in “The Lower Depths,” marking the beginning of a successful stage career.
Throughout his time at the NDT, Shelestun took on numerous significant roles, showcasing his talent and versatility. These included Ivanov in “Ivanov,” Vershinin in “Three Sisters,” Fyodor Karamazov in “The Brothers Karamazov,” and Porfiry Golovlyov in “Gentlemen of the Damned.” His recent performances included Dr. Diafoirus in “The Imaginary Invalid”.
In addition to his theater work, Shelestun appeared in several films and television shows, often in supporting roles. Notable appearances include “Bandit Petersburg – 4” (Prisoner), “Lethal Force”, and “Streets of Broken Lights”. Despite his work in film and television, theater remained his primary focus.
