Konstantin Shelestun, a renowned theater and cinema actor, has died on June 4th. The cause of death is currently unknown, and details regarding the funeral arrangements will be announced later.
Shelestun was a long-time member of the Small Drama Theater (NDT) and gained recognition for his roles in television series, including “Gangster Petersburg”. He graduated from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts and was invited to join NDT by director Lev Erenburg shortly after.
His theatrical career began with the role of Bubnov in “The Lower Depths.” He subsequently portrayed many significant characters, such as Ivanov in “Ivanov”, Vershinin in “Three Sisters”, Fyodor Karamazov in “The Brothers Karamazov”, and Porfiry Golovlyov in “The Lords Golovlevs”. One of his recent roles was Dr. Diafoirus in “The Imaginary Invalid”.
In addition to his stage work, Shelestun appeared in films and television, often in supporting roles that left a lasting impression. He acted in projects such as “Gangster Petersburg – 4” (Prisoner), “Lethal Force”, and “Streets of Broken Lights”. Despite his film and television appearances, he remained dedicated to his theatrical career.
