A kitten caused an unexpected traffic stop on Nevsky Prospekt, St. Petersburg, on Saturday, June 8th, when it sought refuge under vehicles, frightened by the city’s commotion. Passersby and drivers quickly joined forces to rescue the animal.

The kitten initially hid under one car before moving to a red Jaguar. Footage shows a traffic police car stopping to assist in the rescue operation.

The frightened kitten huddled under the hood of the Jaguar and was eventually pulled out by the collective efforts of those present. The driver of the Jaguar, where the kitten sought shelter, decided to adopt it. The kitten has been named Nevsky.
