By the end of 2025, Russian citizens will be able to access information about the locations of bomb shelters in their region through the “Gosuslugi” (Government Services Portal). This initiative aims to provide clarity and accessibility regarding civil defense measures for the population.

Sergey Starovoitov, Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Defense and Population Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, announced the plan, stating that a special tab will be available in personal accounts on “Gosuslugi,” allowing users to find their assigned shelter location in case of an emergency.

The portal will also include information about evacuation points, indicating where people should gather if an evacuation is announced. The system has already undergone testing in the Kursk and Belgorod regions and is anticipated to be implemented nationwide by the end of this year.

In related news, Russia has also announced the development of a domestic messenger to facilitate access to state and financial services through a digital assistant.
