Increased Traffic Expected on Western High-Speed Diameter in St. Petersburg Due to Economic Forum

St. Petersburg drivers should anticipate heavier traffic and potential restrictions on the Western High-Speed Diameter (ZSD) in the coming week due to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The increased traffic load is expected to begin as early as Tuesday.

From June 17 to 23, the ZSD will experience a surge in vehicles associated with SPIEF participants and guests, including specialized transport. Brief, temporary restrictions may be implemented on specific sections of the highway by authorized government agencies.

“Magistral severnoi stolitsy” advises drivers to meticulously plan their routes and travel times in advance. Motorists are also encouraged to actively monitor real-time traffic conditions through navigation apps and pay close attention to the information displayed on variable message boards along the highway.

A reminder is in place that from June 18 to 22, trucks exceeding 3.5 tons are prohibited from using the ZSD section spanning from the Yekateringofka embankment to the southern interchange with the Ring Road (KAD).
