A hot water pipe burst in St. Petersburg’s Nevsky district on May 30th, causing flooding and creating a “hot spring” in the middle of the road. The incident occurred at the intersection of Tovarishchesky Prospekt and Dybenko Street.
Eyewitnesses reported that the burst pipe flooded the roadway and part of the sidewalk. Scooters parked at the intersection were partially submerged in the water.
Steam billowed from the scene, significantly reducing visibility in the immediate area. Video footage shared on social media showed the extent of the flooding.
A thermal energy vehicle arrived on the scene to address the issue. Traffic was moderately impacted near the intersection of Tovarishchesky Prospekt and Dybenko Street. The details of the accident are currently under investigation.
