Hot and Dry Weather Expected in Novosibirsk Region for the Second Ten Days of June

The Novosibirsk region is bracing for hot and dry weather during the second ten days of June, according to the “West Siberian UGMS.” This period, spanning from June 10th to 20th, will see fluctuating temperatures and a notable lack of precipitation.

From June 12th to 14th, residents can anticipate hot and dry conditions, particularly during the holiday weekend. Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from +13…+18 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will soar to +28…+33 degrees Celsius. The average daily air temperature is predicted to steadily increase, exceeding the norm by 3-5 degrees.

While temperatures will fluctuate, with nighttime lows ranging from +6…+18 degrees Celsius and daytime highs varying between +15…+30 degrees Celsius, the most defining characteristic of the weather from June 10th to 15th will be the absence of rainfall amidst rising atmospheric pressure and increasing temperatures.

The weather service attributes this dry spell to the gradual eastward shift of a “hot spot” from the Ural regions towards Western Siberia, bringing with it daytime temperatures of +30…+33 degrees Celsius. An exception is expected on June 11th, with the potential development of cumulonimbus clouds and brief thunderstorms, although the overall heat will persist.
