A refreshing homemade tarragon lemonade is an excellent drink for quenching your thirst during the hot summer days. This simple recipe allows you to make a delicious and invigorating beverage without having to go to the store.
To prepare this lemonade, you will need 50–70 grams of fresh tarragon, 1 liter of water, 1 lemon, sparkling water (to taste), and ice.
Begin by washing the tarragon greens thoroughly and coarsely chopping them. Place the chopped tarragon in a blender and grind it. Then, remove the zest from the lemon and squeeze out about four tablespoons of juice, adding the juice to the blended tarragon.
Next, boil approximately half a liter of water, add sugar, and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the tarragon and lemon mixture to the sugar water, bring it to a boil again, then cover and turn off the heat. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature before refrigerating it for several hours or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
Once the mixture has chilled, strain it through a sieve to remove the tarragon, which is no longer needed. The resulting liquid is a concentrate that should be diluted with sparkling water or plain water, according to your preference.
Serve the tarragon lemonade chilled, with ice cubes and a slice of lemon for garnish. This homemade tarragon lemonade is a perfect way to cool down and enjoy the summer.
