Tatyana Degtyareva, a weather forecaster at the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service, confirmed the presence of convective cloudiness over Krasnozersk on the afternoon of June 2nd. Degtyareva also noted that cumulonimbus convective cloudiness was developing throughout the day, increasing the possibility of further hailstorms in the area.
