A woman in a small village in the Samara region of Russia has dedicated her life to breeding Great Danes, housing eight of the giant dogs in her home. Maria Pushkareva runs a kennel where she breeds these gentle giants.

The kennel breeds Great Danes, carefully selecting mates and raising offspring, with puppies being sold for between 80,000 and 120,000 rubles. Pushkareva emphasizes the importance of responsible ownership, stating that potential buyers must be prepared to invest morally, financially, and with their time.

Pushkareva’s passion for large dogs began in her childhood and evolved from a hobby into a full-time occupation. After owning a Boxer and a Doberman, she acquired her first Great Dane, followed by a second, which led her to pursue dog breeding professionally. To become a qualified breeder, Maria studied with professional dog handlers and judges.

The dogs living under her roof are Lis, Belka, Mysh, Puma, Bars, Rys, Lori, and Dora. Despite their imposing size, they are known for their friendly and affectionate nature.
